SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regard to the large range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
